Aphorisms
Spoken By Suma Ching Hai (Originally In Chinese)
*Sometimes, people's faith and longing for the Truth are stronger in
more difficult situations.
*If you carry on giving in to this situation, then no need to
practice. We practice in order to improve the atmosphere of a place, fill
it with positive power to subdue the negative force. Otherwise,
because the negative force already exists, we are finished should we
always give in to it. We would be overpowered.
*If we don't try our utmost to help others in the most effective
way, we'll regret it afterwards. We'll blame ourselves for not
fulfilling our duties. When other people blame us, it's not so bad. It
is terrible when we blame ourselves.
*If we're still fearful, if we still have the urge to eliminate,
compete with, or resist someone, it shows that we're afraid of that
person. We still don't have enough confidence in ourselves, in
Buddha's power; and we still don't have enough faith in the Truth and
God.
*We have the freedom to choose to do good or bad things, as well as
to give other people their freedom. We shouldn't slander anyone,
quarrel with anyone, or dispute over issues. Only then can one be
called a practitioner.
*Originally, a joyful heart is a fruit of practice.
